If I am correct at the beginning Naruto was planned to be a 20 volume manga but the popularity extended it. As you can see it has gone far furthur then 20 volumes but sadly this great anime and manga will come to an end eventually, does anyone know if it is going to be anytime soon? I would hate to see it go, and hope it will last years to come.

I don't really know. Naruto has definatly stood the test of time, but all good things eventually end. It will most likely end whenever Naruto dies. I mean, the series is named after him.

Or the Akatsuki extracts the fox and the world comes to an end.

It'll probably end around the 40's, but it could go into the 50's. Look at InuYasha. It's 55 volumes long.

I don't really like InuYasha but....
I wouldn't be surprised if it ended in the late 40's. It's at 39 now, right?

Gah. So they were assuming 20 or did they have a 20 volume contract? If they had a contract then maby they see how popular it is now and decided to extend it to get more money.

Well, when something becomes more popular, it usually goes on longer.

For the sake of the fanbase and anime/manga, I hope it ends on a good note. Media that lasts too long lose their original taste and appeal. However, it doesn't mean the anime/manga should end abruptly and with no sense of resolve, but I don't want to be 24 years old and still have the anime/manga, for not only Naruto, but anything else as well, to continue.

Yes. If it drags out to long it will lose its awsoeness. It will draw away from the plot to random ones, just to keep people possible buying it to make more money. Its better to end on a good note early than a bad one later.

Yes I am starting to think that it would end on volume 45 or something around there. But I really hope that it would be a good ending
