Quite all right. I sometimes say stuff that doesn't make sense in Spanish as well. LOL.

I like saying random stuff in Spanish.
How do you say "potato" in Spanish?

I was born in Chiba, Japan. My mother divorced my father(work ended up being more important to him than my mom and me) and moved to America when I was 3 years old, and I now live in Minnes0ta. I used to visit my father in Tokyo for most of the Japanese holidays, so my Japanese stayed very fluent, but I have been too busy recently with work and just graduating from college for my generals and haven't been back for two years. I hope he doesn't think I forgot about him. I still speak Japanese, although living in America for almost 18 years has muddled up my grammar a little bit. My mother doesn't speak much Japanese anymore aside from a few common phrases that we use all the time, like greetings and trivial communication. My little sister, Yuki, was born in America two years after we moved here, and doesn't know any more Japanese than my mother. I want to take her with me to Tokyo next time I visit my father, but Mom doesn't think it's a very good idea. I want her to learn Japanese very much, and the best way is to go to Japan and experience it for herself! I became very homesick two nights ago when I was snacking on Nippon Favorite sushi... T-T

Wow. That's really cool, Kida. Not the divorce, but I wish I knew Japanese. I'm trying to learn...but it's not really getting anywhere. XP
But you're right. The best way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in it. Just speaking it whenever you're in the mood isn't that good and it doesn't help that much. Although, my mom told me this, the best way to know you've mastered a language is to know you get the jokes. And she's right.
And you're very lucky to get to go to Tokyo. I wish I could go to Havana...

Japanese people rock. I hope I can travel to Japan someday. I can't go to England anymore; I'll get shot or blown up.
